Reasoning things out with trusted friends

Thank you Sara Antunovich!

God am I lucky to have stellar friends, those who don't flinch from the hard stuff. We listen to each other without the need to dish out unasked for advice. When we do ask for feedback, we trust it is based on their personal experience, in other words: based in real life, for better or worse, messy or sublime.

My friends know that we don't have to sugar-coat a holiday like Mother's Day. For many of us the words mother and nurturing have nothing to do with each other. We can laugh at the absurdity of it, most times. Other    times it feel like a bottomless hole of sadness. The thing is: it is just the way it is--all of those things.

But on good days, we are not alone with the grief & we know: This too shall pass.

And life goes on, on the good days.

xoxo
